SBV Vitesse, VVV Venlo, K.V. Mechelen and Standard Liege have all been credited with in an interest, while top German and Turkish clubs are also keeping an eye on his availability.
Malinov has been capped 13 times by his country and can play either in an attacking or defensive role in the middle of the park.
The 26-year-old last night played in the final match of the Bulgarian league season as Sofia went up against Beroe.
Now that the campaign is finished Malinov is expected to decide where his future lies, with a possible move to Glasgow high on his list of options.
A source close to the player told Herald and Times Sport: “Rangers is a brand in European football. Everybody knows them, so having interest from Rangers is a big deal for Kristiyan and it is a privilege for him to be among contenders on their wish list.
“It would also be a privilege for him to play under Steven Gerrard and be mentored from a coach who was one of the best midfielders in the last decade.
“As a midfielder he feels he could gain a lot from him, especially in a tactical sense.
“His mentality is something Rangers fans would love as he is a player who leaves everything out on the park.”
