Dr. Jagdish Sheth had given a leadership award to PM Narendra Modi in January last year, and people quickly requested a link.
PM Modi received the very first Philip Kotler Presidential Award from the World Marketing Summit India, which is a global alliance that aims to explore the use of marketing to achieve national goals. It was founded in 2010 by Kotler, who is known as an unshakable connoisseur of the field.
Modi is the first recipient of the award, which the organization plans to award to heads of state and government annually.
Is Professor Jagdish Sheth receiving Padma Bhushan the same professor who gave Narendra Modi the Kotler Award?

@ Kazeemaqil3 tweeted “It’s a very simple chronology. 1: Professor Jagadish presented Kotler Award to Modi Ji 2019 2: Modi Ji awarded Padma Bhusan to Professor Jagadish. 2020 # FAK5056”
@ ShahabJafri55 tweeted “Ek chhote sheth ne ek bade seth ko diya…. Well, payback time … # PadmaAwards2020 ”
Although Sheth Modi awarded the prize, reports indicate that Kotler, professor of marketing at Northwestern University, the Kellogg School of Management, was not doing well.
“People, Profit, Planet”
According to the World Marketing Summit website, the Kotler Prize focuses on the triple conclusion of “People, Profit and Planet”.
The quote for the Modi Award said that he was honored for his “excellent leadership for the nation”.
“His selfless service to India, combined with his tireless energy, has led to extraordinary economic, social and technological advances in the country,” it said.
The quote added that Modi led India now as the center for innovation and value-added manufacturing (Make in India) and as a global hub for professional services such as information technology, accounting and finance.
So far, the WMS has only given awards for performance in advertising and marketing.
