FARGO — Fargo’s public school district will share an update on the current state of the school district and will gather public input regarding the focus for public education moving forward on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
The state of the schools address is scheduled to run from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at South High School, 1840 15th Ave. S. Fargo Public Schools Superintendent Rupak Gandhi will preside over the address in the school auditorium.
Afterward, participants will break out into small focus groups for discussion. Questions stemming from focus groups will concentrate on components of the district’s five-year MTSS-B plan, which are restorative practices, trauma-sensitive schools and embedded social emotional curriculum.
Community members, parents and Fargo Public Schools staff members have preregistered to participate in the public focus group portion of the event. Attendees received reading materials in advance of the event. The goal is to gather community feedback as the district sets the course for the future of Fargo Public Schools and the education it provides Fargo students.
