A big reason why July 2021 is so important is because of the return of Go Fest. The event went full digital as players were pushed to stay inside. Regardless, players were able to participate in new Special Research tasks and capture exclusive Pokemon. The event returns with both virtual and in-person events happening in a variety of cities around the globe. Here is what players can expect for July 2021.
- Bidoof Day: This event has taken place on July 1st and is centered around Bidoof.
- Defense Forme Deoxys Raids: This legendary Pokemon will return in raid battles from July 1st to July 16th.
- Mewtwo Raids: This legendary Pokemon will return in raid battles from July 16th to July 23rd.
- New Pokemon in Raid Battles: A brand new Pokemon will be introduced starting on July 24th. It’s unknown what this Pokemon is.
- Raid Hours: Defense Forme Deoxys (7/7, 7/14), Mewtwo (7/21), and the new Pokemon (7/28) will have raid hours for them.
- Spotlight Hours: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Natu will have their own Spotlight Hours (7/7, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27)
- Community Day: Tepig Community Day will take place on July 3rd.
- Pokemon Go’s Anniversary Celebration: The 5th year anniversary will take place from July 6th to July 15th.
- Go Battle Night: This will take place on July 11th and players can compete for up to 100 battles for Stardust.
- Go Fest: Players will need to purchase a ticket for this event. It will take place on July 17th and 18th.
