Everest Re appoints Mariza Costa as VP, Investor & Rating Agency Relations

Bermuda-based reinsurer Everest Re Group has appointed Mariza Costa as Vice President (VP) of Investor and Rating Agency Relations, based in the company’s US Headquarters in Warren, New Jersey.

Everest Re GroupIn her new role, Costa will report to Jon Levenson, Head of Investor and Rating Agency Relations at Everest Re. 

She joins Everest Re from AM Best where she was an Associate Director focusing on reinsurance and large commercial ratings.

Previously, Costa worked as an equity research analyst at Stifel Nicolaus, where she covered property and casualty re/insurance.

Prior to this, she was a financial manager at Allianz, and has also worked in corporate investor relations for companies outside the insurance industry.

Levenson commented on her appointment: “Mariza brings a unique skill set and directly applicable experience to the role at Everest.

“Our department manages rating agency relations, capital modelling and analytics in addition to our investor relations responsibilities, and we are very pleased to have Mariza join the team to enhance our capabilities in these areas.”
