
Oliver Knott of Chelverton
Chelverton Asset Management has promoted Oliver Knott to assistant fund manager of the Chelverton UK Dividend Trust, with effect from 1 January.
Knott joined Chelverton from investment bank N+1 Singer, where he was an equity analyst. He had previously been with Brewin Dolphin, where he held roles in equity sales, trading and equity research.
The trust, which recently celebrated its 21st anniversary, “seeks to deliver a high and growing income through investments in small and mid-cap UK AIM and listed companies”, according to the firm.

Chelverton founder and managing director David Horner said: “Oli joined us in January last year, before the Covid pandemic had been declared. He has managed very well through these difficult and turbulent times and I am delighted to be working with him going forward as the market in our type of companies starts to recover.
“His appointment as assistant fund manager recognises his contribution against the backdrop of a most challenging market environment and serves to underline the confidence we as a team have in him and his ability as a manager.

Horner will remain as lead manager on the trust with David Taylor continuing to support the team.
