Cape Verde have announced their squad for next month’s friendly games in the build-up to their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying double-header against Rwanda in November.

Pedro Leitao has named a 27-man squad entirely made of foreign based players for next month’s two friendlies against Andorra and Guinea.

The Blue Sharks will host the first leg of the Group H double header on November 9 with the return in Kigali on November 17.

Meanwhile, Rwanda has not played since their friendly game against Congo Brazaville in February.

Amavubi Stars were placed in Group F alongside host Cameroon,Mozambique and Cape-Verde and are yet to collect a point after losing to Cameroon and Mozambique in their first two games. 

Cape Verde squad

Goalkeepers: Vozinha (AEL Limassol, Cyprus), Elber (AZ Alkmaar, Netherlands), Mario Evora (Vitoria Guimaraes, Portugal).

Defenders: Diney (FAR Rabat, Morocco), Ponck (Basaksehir, Turkey), Steven Fortes (Lens, France), Roberto Lopes (Shamrock Rovers, Ireland), Dylan Tavares (FC Stade Lausanne-Ouchy, Switzerland), Stopira (Fehervar, Hungary ), Steve Furtado (Beroe Stara Zagora, Bulgaria), Jeffrey (Sparta Rotterdam, Netherlands), Tiago Almeida (Feirense, Portugal).

Midfielders: Marco Soares (Arouca, Portugal), Helder Tavares (Giresunspor, Turkey), Kenny (Nancy, France), Kevin Oliveira (Doxa Katokopias, Cyprus), Patrick Andrade (Qarabag, Azerbaijan), Bruno Leite (Haugesund, Norway), Willis Furtado (FC Masr, Egypt).

Forwards: Ryan Mendes (Al-Nasr, Saudi Arabia), Garry Rodrigues (Fenerbahçe, Turkey), Leandro Semedo (Fortuna Sittard, Netherlands), Willy Semedo (Grenoble, France), Zé Luis (FC Porto, Portugal), Julio Tavares (Al-Faisaly, Saudi Arabia), Kukula (Beroe Stara Zagora, Bulgaria), Patrick Fernandes (SC Farense, Portugal).
