“It goes to show how lacking the president is in terms of the realities our states are facing, as well as just total lack of empathy. And so we signed a letter. The National Guard has very much been a part of our COVID-19 response, in not just our state, but across the country. So we should fund their activities 100%,” Hirono stated.
