The town of Arlington is hosting a virtual forum at 7 p.m. July 30 to present findings and receive feedback on the progress of Connect Arlington, the town’s sustainable transportation plan.

All members of the Arlington community are invited to participate via video conference or by calling in by phone to the event hosted by Zoom. For sign up, visit https://bit.ly/3eqAsX5.

During the virtual forum, participants will learn about the progress of Connect Arlington, which began in January. Town staff will present an overview of the existing conditions of Arlington’s transportation system and will share the results of the transportation survey and focus groups conducted about transportation issues. Facilitated breakout groups will provide an opportunity for participants to share input on various topics related to transportation. The meeting will close with a facilitated question and answer session.

Members of the community unable to participate on the evening of the forum are invited to contribute their feedback to the transportation survey, available at https://surveymonkey.com/r/ArlingtonSTP, that will close out on July 17. More than 900 responses to the transportation survey have been received to date. The town is also seeking residents who wish to participate in three additional focus groups the week of July 13, on the subjects of “Getting Around with Disabilities or Mobility Impairments,” “Neighborhood Transportation Issues” and “Public Transportation.” Interested residents can fill out an online form at https://bit.ly/38V4Za with their information and the focus group they want to participate in. Materials and a video recording of the forum will be available on the Sustainable Transportation Plan Advisory Committee’s website at http://bit.ly/2d9aq.
