IIT Roorkee has invited applications for an online summer training program on machine learning with Python from interested students, working professionals, as well as faculty. The course is being offered through IIT Roorkee’s Electronics and ICT Academy, which is a Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) initiative.
Apart from IIT Roorkee professors, experts from Intel, NVIDIA, and Devarty Technologies will also take sessions. Learners will also get career guidance, incubation and entrepreneurship sessions from experts. Those who wish to apply for the course are required to have a fundamental knowledge of the programming language.
Objectives of the IIT Roorkee Online Summer Training Program in Machine Learning
The course aims to equip learners with knowledge on Python scripting and its principles, design and implementation of real-world inspired ML algorithms applications, supervised machine learning, statistics, hypothesis testing, linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree, random forest, heuristic approaches of machine learning, and support vector machines. Projects and assignments will also be given to students.
Important Dates and Certificates
The course will be conducted over 14 days with 40 hours of teaching. The last date to register for the course will be 23 June 2020 and 60 seats will be offered on a first come first serve basis. The online summer training program will be conducted through Zoom. The course will be conducted from 25 June to 8 July 2020.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certificates from E&ICT Academy and IIT Roorkee. The course would cost learners Rs 8000. Those who wish to take the summer online training by IIT Roorkee are advised to go through the official website in detail.
