Graham Carey scored two typically spectacular goals as he produced a man-of-the-match display for CSKA Sofia in their latest game.
The former Plymouth Argyle playmaker netted twice as CSKA beat Beroe 2-0 in the Bulgarian First League.
Carey opened the scoring for CSKA, the 31-time national champions, in the 59th minute with a curling free-kick high into the top corner of the net.
He then doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute with a terrific volley with his less favoured right foot from just inside the penalty area.
It led to Carey, who signed a two-year contract with CSKA after leaving Argyle last summer, being named as the man-of-the-match.
CSKA remained fourth in the table, but level on points with the two teams above them, Levski Sofia and Lokomotiv Plovdiv.
Table-topping Ludogorets have a nine-point gap over those three sides and have also played one match fewer than the trio.
Carey had been an unused substitute when CSKA won 2-1 against Botev Vratsa in the Bulgarian Cup quarter-finals last week.
