Zappi, the ad and innovation testing platform built by brands for brands, today announced that Babita Earle, Zappi’s executive vice president of strategic and industry partnerships, was elected to the Market Research Society (MRS) main board. The appointment will take effect in the beginning of April 2020.
According to MRS Chair Phyllis Macfarlane, “MRS exists to represent the interests of our industry, from the extremely important (but perhaps less exciting) bits – regulation, standards, data protection to membership, accreditation, training, qualifications, communication, networking and conferences, and also pushing us to new things, not to rest on our laurels but to embrace challenge and change.”
Earle has been embracing change as part of the market research industry for over two decades. Beginning her career as a statistician, she moved into corporate agency environments where she learned the technical side of research from the ground up with a firm sight on what brands want and need. In 2016, Earle joined Zappi to use technology to drive change in the industry. She works with Zappi’s big partners to help them transform behavior within their organizations, approach research in systematic ways, and more.
“I am honored to be named to the MRS main board,” Earle said about this election. “It means a lot to be recognized for my accomplishments and to have the community show their support for the issues I care about — namely, diversity of thought at all levels of research and the increasing role of technology in insights. I’m excited to get started.”
With a passion for challenging traditional ways of thinking and ensuring insights stays relevant, Earle is a regular contributor of thought leadership. She is a frequent speaker at research conferences, such as Quirk’s London, IIeX and ESOMAR, and she is a WIRexec member — helping to set up the first European WIRexec conference last year.
