Luker Takes Over Ipsos’ Acquisition Programme
March 27 2017
Ipsos has promoted industry veteran Dean Luker to the role of Corporate Development Director, responsible for its acquisition programme in support of the company’s overall strategy. He replaces Deputy CEO Carlos Harding, who passed away in December.
Luker (pictured) has served as CEO, Western Europe for more than five years, responsible for nine countries (Belgium, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark), having joined Ipsos in 2010 as Deputy MD, EMEA. Prior to the firm’s takeover of Synovate, he was the latter’s Global Corporate Development Director – he joined Asia Market Intelligence (AMI, rebranded Synovate in 2003) in 2001 as a Director of AMI Hong Kong and of AMI’s Customer Satisfaction Measurement Division across Asia. Earlier, he was UK Commercial Director at Netsurvey, UK Business Group Director at GfK, and Research Manager at Zenith International.
Luker is part of Ipsos’ Executive Committee, and will also be the group’s ESOMAR representative. He takes over from Carlos Harding, who died suddenly of a heart attack last December.
