NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Zoe Dowling Ph.D., SVP of Research at FocusVision,
the leading provider of comprehensive survey and customer insights
software solutions, has seen a momentous 2019. FocusVision’s senior
strategic research lead continues to shape the future of market research
with key appointment announcements. This year, Dowling was appointed to
the board of directors at the Market Research Institute International
(MRII), a non-profit organization with a 23-year track record of
fulfilling the continuing educational needs of market researchers. Her
curriculum on Emerging
Methods and the Future of Market Research was added to the
University of Georgia Professional Courses, as part of MRII Principles
Express. In addition, she has also joined the Women
in Research’s (WIRe) award-winning mentoring program, a non-profit
community that advances the contributions and voices of women in
research.
“As the role and use of insights within an organization continues to
evolve, and technology provides insight collection and analysis in-house
for more brands, education has never been more important to empower
transformational researchers in their business critical roles,” said
Dowling. “Whether it be education around the principles of research or
merely providing support of talent within our industry, I am honored to
play a part in providing guidance for the next generation of insights
professionals.”
At FocusVision, Dowling uses her research expertise to power its own
customer experience programs and help clients best apply the company’s
technological solutions to address the rise of the experience economy.
An early Internet adopter, she has been involved in online research
since the late 1990s. She specializes in participant engagement for web
and mobile surveys, as well as qualitative approaches related to online
communities and interview techniques. A scholar of innovation, Dowling
actively combines traditional and out-of-the-box approaches to adapt
effective methodologies to a changing world.
“Zoe truly is a transformational researcher. Her work as a mentor,
thought-leader and influencer in the industry speaks for itself, and is
evidenced by all of the accomplishments she’s made in 2019 alone,” said
Dawn Colossi, CMO, FocusVision. “With customer experience at the
forefront of business initiatives today, Zoe’s expertise has been
invaluable to FocusVision and it’s been an amazing journey working
alongside her as she continues to shape the future of market research.”
Prior to joining FocusVision, Dowling was at Kantar Added Value for nine
years, most recently as SVP, R&D and Global Mobile Capability Leader.
She is a regular speaker at industry conferences including ESOMAR
Congress, GreenBook’s IIEX conference, NEXT Insights, the MRMW
Conference and others.
She will be presenting alongside FocusVision CMO Dawn Colossi at the Quirks
Event in Chicago on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, to discuss what
marketers can learn from researchers and what researchers can learn from
marketers.
