IIT Tirupati is hosting an online machine learning summer school from 26 to 30 July 2021 for which interested students and participants can apply. This summer school is being conducted by IIT Tirupati as new-age technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) are being increasingly used from the last few years in private and public sectors including government, healthcare, e-commerce, robotics, manufacturing and financial services.
IIT Tirupati has conducted the machine learning summer school on the ground previously. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the second edition of the school is being conducted online. To onboard all participants at a common level, a Special Bootcamp on Mathematics and Python Essentials for machine learning will be held on 20 and 21 July 2021 a few days prior to the summer school. The participants may utilize this optional Bootcamp to fully leverage the summer school, says IIT Tirupati.
What the IIT Tirupati Online Summer School on Machine Learning Will Cover?
Participants will receive detailed theory sessions on critical algorithmic aspects, hands-on sessions giving an immediate feel for theoretical concepts, and practical flavor of industry-grade production systems using machine learning through the following topics:
- Fundamental of problem formulation skills in data science along with demonstrations, hands-on practice sessions and quizzes; standard supervised learning algorithms including loss functions, multivariate linear regression and multiclass classification, logistic regression, decision trees, random forest, data preparation and model selection.
- Deep neural networks theory and practicals using tensorflow for encoders, convolutional neural networks, recurrent neural networks and generative adversarial networks; and unsupervised learning techniques for clustering and data visualization.
- The sessions are supplemented for a real-world application through industry grade implementations, customizations and demonstrations.
How to Apply for IIT Tirupati Online Summer School on Machine Learning
Interested participants will have to register on the official website before 18 July 2021. The school is a paid initiative on which a discount will be offered to those who register before 15 July 2021. Only 100 participants will be allowed, and all registered participants will be sent a confirmation email upon verifying the payment details.
