The Yale School of Medicine MD Class of 2021 has selected Associate Dean for Health Equity Research and Associate Professor Marcella Nunez-Smith, MD, MHS, as its commencement speaker on May 24. Beyond her many roles at Yale, Nunez-Smith served as co-chair of the Biden-Harris Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board and is now chair of the COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force in the Biden administration. Significantly for the Class of 2021, Nunez-Smith was the academic advisor for 17 of the 93 graduating students.
