Investment management giant Robert W. Baird has recruited a Morgan Stanley team that manages about $383 million for its clients.
Joining forces with Baird are Stewart Parker and Drew Parker — who are now directors at Baird — as well as Vice President Clay Buttrey and Financial Advisor Richard Law. Based on Columbia’s Public Square, their addition grows Baird’s Tennessee private wealth management office network to 11.
Stewart Parker has 24 years of industry experience while Drew Parker has 18 years of experience. Both had been with Morgan Stanley since late 2008 after making the move from Merrill Lynch. Buttrey has 21 years of industry experience while Law has four.
“We are thrilled to welcome this talented team to Baird,” said Parker Griffith, Southeastern Market Director for Baird’s Private Wealth Management group. “Baird is excited to grow our footprint in Middle Tennessee with the addition of a team of professionals that share our deep commitment to putting client interests first.”
In addition to its 11 wealth management offices, Baird also has public finance, institutional fixed income and institutional equity research offices in Nashville and Knoxville. Griffith late last year signed a lease to move his flagship Nashville office from 2525 West End to the Broadwest project being built about a mile to the east.
In all, Baird’s private wealth management division is home to more than 1,300 financial advisors working from 160 offices in 33 states. That team manages more than $215 billion in assets.
