Mizuho Americas confirmed on May 18, 2020 that it has appointed Dan Dolev as the company’s new managing director and senior equity research analyst covering the Fintech space.
Dolev will be working out of Mizuho’s New York offices. He will be reporting directly to Susan Gilbertson, the head of US equity research at Mizuho.
Gilbertson remarked:
“Fintech is a disruptive and rapidly evolving industry bringing major changes to asset management, business and personal loans, how we invest and how we pay. Dan brings his expertise to perform in-depth analysis on a wide range of thematic, FinTech investment issues.”
Dolev, an economics graduate from Columbia University, joins Mizuho’s global technology research practice which covers the Americas and Asia.
The eight researchers at Mizuho cover the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region’s electronics and components companies. The analysts work out of the firm’s offices in Japan and Hong Kong. They’re led by Yasuo Nakane.
As mentioned in a release, the firm’s US coverage includes Gregg Moskowitz, Siti Panigrahi, and Matt Broome. They’re responsible for covering software. James Lee covers US and China Internet, Vijay Rakesh is tasked with covering semiconductors and semi-cap equipment, and Charles Park works as the company’s,global technology specialist sales.
Dolev, who also holds an MBA Finance degree from Columbia Business School, previously worked at Macquarie as a senior analyst, equity research. He was responsible for covering payments and business services. Dolev has also previously served as a senior analyst at Nomura Instinet, where he regularly covered payments and business services.
Mizuho Americas is an established financial institution that provides corporate and investment banking, financing, securities, treasury services, asset management, and research services.
The company has offices throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Chile.
