Biocontrol development partnership in France and Europe between

AMOEBA, PHILAGRO France and NICHINO Europe.

PHILAGRO France, NICHINO Europeand AMOEBAhave signed a development contract (MTA: Material Transfer Agreement) to evaluate the performance of the biocontrol fungicide containing AMOEBA’s active substance: the amoeba lysate Willaertia magna C2c Maky.

PHILAGRO France, a Lyon-based company, is a recognized player in the crop protection market and has been investing for 20 years in the marketing of biocontrol solutions for French agriculture.

NICHINO Europe is the European subsidiary of the Japanese group Nihon Nohyaku, which is strongly involved in crop protection products worldwide.

AMOEBA is an innovative Lyon-based company, with the ambition to become a major player in the treatment of microbiological risk in water, health care and plant protection sectors. Created in 2010, based in Chassieu (Lyon, France) with a subsidiary in Canada and the United States, Amoéba is listed on compartment C of Euronext Paris.

The purpose of the research and development partnership is the provision by AMOEBA of experimental products containing this patented technology based on Willaertia magna C2c Makyamoeba lysate produced in the LYON production plant.

PHILAGRO France and its shareholder NICHINO are highly motivated to heavily invest in the implementation of technical field trials both in France and Europe. Different formulations will be tested to control downy mildew in vines and late blight on potatoes. Each year, these diseases cause significant yield losses.

The Biological Evaluation Centre of PHILAGRO France and NICHINO based next to Orleans and its efficient experimentation network are excellent assets to extract a maximum knowledge and benefits from this biocontrol fungicide.

The partnership between these 3 companies is part of the strategy to develop biocontrol solutions in France and responds to the evolution of agriculture in France and Europe. This partnership has a significant valuation potential for the company and is an essential step towards a possible commercial partnership
